Castor oil is a good purgative and keeps one young, eliminating all toxic matter that may accumulate in the bowels. It cures dyspnoea, hydrocele, flatulence, ascites, piles, cough, lumbago headache, leprosy, arthritis, calculus and dysuria. It alleviates phantom tumour spleen disorders, impurity of blood and worm troubles. Of the different varieties of castor, the white one is best for fever and the red for swelling, pallor and mental disorders.
