Scientific Name: Acacia catechu

Location: Grows as trees in forests.

It is the bark of this tree that is mainly used. It has the power to eliminate phlegm, anaemia, blood impurities, cough, inflammations and leprosy. It is good for the teeth and will weaken the semen. It is used in the treatment of facial skin problems and the enhancement of facial complexion. For problems relating to worms, leprosy, various gynaecological difficulties and wounds, this herb is used successfully. According to the Ayurvedic texts, it gives a longer, healthy life. There are some tooth powders formulated with this tree which eliminates bad breath, gum bleeding, gum infections and gives stronger teeth.
