Cumin Seed (Jeerakam)

Scientific Name:   cuminum cyminum

Location: Cultivated in various parts of the world.

Cumin seeds are widely used in pickles, curries and soups for taste and smell. It contains vitamins, iron, fibre, protein, minerals, calcium, carbohydrates and phosphorous. It is effective for cough and sneeze. Urinary problems, vomiting, gas trouble and worms receive relief with the use of this seed.
