Galangal (Araththa)

Scientific Name: � Alpinia galanga

Ayurvedic texts consider galangal as a treatment for arthritis, breathing problems, phlegm etc. It is given to children for cough and vomiting. In the case of ulcers in the nasal cavity, a drug formulated with this herb is found useful.
