Scientific Name: Piper longum

Location: Found in the jungles of the Western Coasts of India.

It is used in the treatment of liver cirrhosis, and is found effective for dropsy. For fever resulting from disorders of the stomach, Long Pepper Cubebs, ground with jaggery is a cure. It is a constituent of the treatment of tonsillitis. Diabetes, Typhoid, Tuberculosis and indigestive problems are cured by various drugs created with this herb. It is a laxative and its leaf is effective for anaemia.
