Scientific Name: Strychnos nuxvomica Linn

Location: Found as trees mainly in South India.

The fruit of this tree is poisonous. But on purification, it is used as a medical remedy for leprosy, piles, fever, inflammations, wounds, phlegm and arthritis. It can induce constipation. The tender leaves of this tree are ground and applied with curd for skin inflammations.
