Scientific Name: Plumbago zeylanica

Location: Can be found in various parts of Kerala.

This herb has the strength to heal inflammations, piles and leprosy. For many skin diseases, it is used as a remedy. It is fit for use only after purification. For the treatment of all sorts of arthritis, paralysis, liver cirrhosis, pneumonia, leprosy, cholera and warts, Radix Plumbago is used. It also has the power to enhance the effect of certain other medicines and therefore is prescribed along with others for a number of serious diseases.
