Scientific Name: Acheranthes Aspera

Location: Found in dry tropical areas.

This herb has the strength to increase the body temperature. It is found effective in disorders concerning liver, eye, ear and uterus.   Asthma and dental pain is also found to have solutions with Rough Chaft. Ayurvedic records say that this plant can act against the poisonous bites from animals. The ash of the weed contains high proportion of potash and therefore is an important constituent of alkaline medicines and caustic pastes. The ash is antacid and it is given with honey for cough and asthma and an ointment made of the ash with orpiment is used for clearing warts and ulcers.
