Scientific Name: Saccharum officinarum

The juice of sugar cane strengthens the liver, kidneys, stomach and the brain. Sugar serves as a good item for gaining weight. Sugar cubes are effective for cough, throat pain thirst due to excessive perspiration etc. Some Ayurvedic texts prescribe sugar cubes as a medication for vomiting, cold, and diseases caused by phlegm.
